ALBANY, Ill. — Jeanette Schaver, 86, of rural Albany, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility, Clinton, IA. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Tom Merchant, pastor of Trinity Reformed Church in Fulton, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL. Memorials may be made to Trinity Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, and the Albany Fire Department. She was born June 19, 1921, in Fulton, IL, to William and Reka (Pessman) Buikema. She was educated in Fulton schools. She married Jacob J. Schaver on May 11, 1940, in Clinton, IA. He died April 12, 1975. She farmed with husband, Jacob, in rural Albany many years. She was a charter member of Trinity Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, where she was involved in the Hannah Circle. She was known in the Albany area for her cooking and baking and enjoyed going out to eat with her family.Survivors include two daughters, Darlene (Mrs. James) Rathje of Fulton, IL, and Carol Stash of Albany, IL; four sons, Kenneth W. (Barbara) Schaver of Morrison, IL, Donald J. (Marilyn) Schaver of Albany, IL, Harlan (Evelyn) Schaver of Fulton, IL, and Robert W. (Deb) Schaver of Albany, IL; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Kathryn Damhoff of Fulton, IL.
