CLINTON — Inez L. Schaeffer, age 83, of Clinton, died Sunday, May 18, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 20th, at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. The Rev. Wayne Brinkmann will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 A.M. Tuesday until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Bryant. Inez was born in Clinton on August 31, 1924, the daughter of August and Elma Schrum Hermann. She graduated from Lyons High School. Inez was employed at Swift and Company for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Inez enjoyed gardening, yard work and watching football. Inez is survived by her son, Steven, of Clinton; and several cousins, including her first cousins, Shirley Claeys and Virgil Cleveland both of DeWitt. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and her husband, Darlene and Paul Paulsen.Death date: May 18, 2008
