PLAINFIELD, Ill. — Doris E. Burkamper, 68 of Plainfield, IL, formerly of Muscatine, IA and Fulton, IL. At peace May 10, 2008, at Provena St Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL. She was born October 31, 1939, in Muscatine, IA. Doris survived by her loving husband and best friend of 50 years, William “Bill” Burkamper; her devoted sons, Kevin Lee (Melinda) Burkamper of Plainfield and Randall Wayne (LuAnn) Burkamper of Lisle, IL; her special grandchildren, Allyson Renae, Emily Nicole, Jacob Allen, David Michael and Jared Ryan; her brother, Harlan Leo McKillip; and dear sister, Carol (Dallas) Reed; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo Harlan and Dorathea McKillip. Doris was a 1957 graduate of Muscatine High School. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 13, 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, corner of Routes 30 and 59, Plainfield, 60544, and on Wednesday, May 14, 12:00 noon until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Plainfield Township Cemetery.Death date: May 10, 2008
