EDMOND, Okla. — Patricia Ann Lawson Brandt was reunited with her beloved husband of nearly 54 years, Edward Newman Brandt, Jr. on April 22, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents Pat and Georgia Lawson. She is survived by her sons Patrick, Edward III and his wife Julie, Rex and his wife Beth; grandchildren: Kelli and her family, Karina and her husband, Justin, Carlin, Jeremy, Derek and Dagan and her brother, Rex Lawson and his family; parents-in-law, Ed Sr. and Patricia Brandt; sister-in-law Jennifer Wessel and her family; and brother-in-law Carlin Brandt and his family and many cousins. And, as everyone who knew her knows, her beloved dogs Suzy and Buddy.She was sixth generation of her family to live in Oklahoma, her Chickasaw ancestors having come here on The Trail of Tears. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from OU and her Master’s from CSU. She taught math and science in many area high schools, including US Grant, NW Classen and Del City. She also taught at Ball High School in Galveston.The funeral will be at Dayspring Church of Christ on April 25 at 5:00 PM located at 400 N. Chowning, Edmond, OK 73083.The family would like to thank all her friends and caregivers at Bradford Village and Mercy Hospice who treated her so well.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Edward Brandt, Jr. Scholarship fund at OU College of Public Health, P. O. Box 26901, OKC, OK 73190.Death date: April 22, 2008
