MOUNT CARROLL, Ill. — Veryle J. Sack, 84, of Mt. Carroll, died Saturday Feb. 16, 2008, in her home. She was born June 11, 1923, in Argo Fay, IL, the daughter of William and Cora (Plock) Ginther. She was a graduate of Mt. Carroll High School. She married Donald Ditsworth in October of 1947. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1961. She married Ronald Sack on June 7, 1964. He died on June 21, 1999. She was a homemaker and a retired janitor for the Mt. Carroll Church of God, where she was a member. Surviving are three daughters, Susan (Gene) Fritz, Sherry (Rick) Allen and Dawn (Phil) Phelps, all of Mt. Carroll. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a special cousin, Lowell (Marie) Plock of Ohio. Preceding her in death were her parents, both husbands, one sister and two brothers. Services will be Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt. Carroll Church of God with Pastor Robert Phelps of Pleasant Valley Church of God Officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Wednesday. A memorial fund has been established in her memory. Arrangements are being handled by the Russell-Frank Funeral Home in Lanark. Death date: Feb. 16, 2008
