ALBANY, Ill. — Jean A. Meegan, 76, of 306 South Church Street, Albany, IL, died Monday, February 18, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Albany, IL, with the Rev. David Austin, pastor of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Albany, IL, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Private family graveside service at Windridge Cemetery, Cary, IL. Memorials may be made to Project Linus and Mercy Hospice, Clinton, IA. She was born November 08, 1931, in Boston, MA, to Arthur and Margaret (McNulty) Byers. She graduated from Dorchester High for Girls, Dorchester, MA; and attended Bryant Business School, MA. She married George H. Meegan on December 01, 1951, in Boston, MA. He died December 01, 2005. She was a real estate broker working out of Mel Saad in Erie. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church; member of the 49er’s Club; and enjoyed reading and working on crossword puzzles. Survivors include one daughter, Pegi (Mrs. Jerry) Cahill, Plano, TX; three sons, Paul (Pegi) Meegan of South Barrington, IL, Dan (Kelly) Meegan, Antioch, IL, and Kevin Meegan, Clinton, IA; eight grandchildren, Marci Hoeft, Matthew Hoeft, Jenifer Cahill; Kelly and Ryan Meegan; Monica (Mrs. Jeremy) Holtzee, Kendra Meegan, Sarah Meegan; two great-grandchildren, Keira Holtzee, Caden Holtzee; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth McDaniel of CA, Mrs. Lois Bouranis, South Hamilton, MA, and Merle Dunn, NC.
