The Clinton Herald Wednesday February 27, 1918 p. 8 Mrs. Marie Greve, 84 years old, died at 1 o'clock this morning at the home of her son, Marcus Hass, one mile west of Hauntown, following an illness of one year. Born, April 3d, 1833 in Germany, Mrs. Greve came to Clinton county to make her home in 1884. She was married the second time to Claus Greve, who preceded her in death in 1891. Two children are left, a daughter, Mrs. Hans Block having passed away in 1886. The living children are, Marcus Hass, and Mrs. Fred Wessels of Long Grove. The funeral will be held at Teeds Grove church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial at the Teeds Grove cemetery.
