CLINTON — Gregory P. Damon, age 60, of Clinton, died Sunday Feb. 10, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center. According to family wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private family service will be held Thursday at his sister’s home, Lynne Jamison in Camanche. Gregory was born on July 26, 1947, in Davenport, IA, the son of Paul and Edna (Ryan) Damon. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1965 and attended the University of Iowa and Kansas State College. He was an avid reader, writer and enjoyed poetry. Gregory is survived by his four sisters, Dixie McCay of Aurora, CO, Lynne Jamison of Camanche, IA, Tania Damon of San Francisco, CA, and Tamara Damon of Brisbane, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Blake, and two brothers.Death date: Feb. 10, 2008
