THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — James Francis Vetricek, 72, passed away Monday, February 4, 2008, in Thousand Oaks, California. He was born November 12, 1935, in Savanna, Illinois, and was a resident of Ventura County for 25 years moving from his hometown of Savanna, Illinois. James retired from 3M pharmaceuticals in Northridge, California, after serving 20 years in the U.S. Army in the corps of engineers 20th BN. He was a classic car enthusiast in his spare time but most of all James loved time with his family.He is survived by wife, Donna Vetricek, of 51 years; brother, Patrick Vetricek; children, James Vetricek, Victoria Jukka and De Ette Wright; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008, at the Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, Thousand Oaks, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the same location. His ashes will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery at a later date.
