The Clinton Herald Friday March 22, 1963 p. 12 Frank F. McGovern, 75, of 647 3rd Ave. S., died in his home Thursday. Requiem High Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. The parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the Snyder funeral home, where friends may call. Mr. McGovern was born June 7, 1887, in Clinton, the son of Patrick and Jane O'Brien McGovern. A lifelong resident of Clinton, he was educated in St. Mary's schools, and employed for more than 50 years by the Curtis Companies, Inc. He retired in 1954. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 705. He married Emma Bondesen in St. Mary's Dec. 26, 1912. He is survived by two sons, Eugene of Clinton and Robert of Galesburg, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Florence Dillon of Chicago; one granddaughter and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, one son, two brothers, and two sisters.
