CLINTON — Francesca Monica Mussman, 93, of Clinton passed away on Tuesday at Mercy Medical Center-North Campus. Funeral services were held today, January 10, 2007, at 12 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Homes-Lyons Chapel, 2304 N. 2nd St, Clinton. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial was at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Francesca was born on March 9, 1914, in DeWitt, IA, to Malachi and Margaret Louise (Meilke) McMahon. She was a 1933 graduate of St. Joseph’s in DeWitt. She married Leo Mussman on June 23, 1936, at St. Joseph’s in DeWitt. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother. She was a member of the MS Group and went door to door for donations that benefited research. She was also a member of Prince of Peace Parish and in her free time enjoyed quilting. Francesca is survived by her three daughters, Diane Snyder of Camanche, Doris Gluesing of Clinton and Margaret Mussman of Clinton; one son-in-law, William Bakkila of Zion, IL; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bernadine Larson of DeWitt. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, two sons, one grandson, five brothers and three sisters. Death date: Jan. 8, 2008
