The Clinton Herald Monday November 22, 1965 p. 11 Oliver W. Herrity, 74, died Sunday morning in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Stanford, 2306 N. 8th St. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran church, with the Rev. M.S. Bredow officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Snell-Smith funeral home from 7 p.m. today until noon Wednesday. Mr. Herrity was born June 2, 1891 in Clinton, the son of Thomas and Emma Pearson Herrity. He married Anna Zerrien April 24, 1912 in Clinton. He retired in 1956 from the Chicago North Western car shops after 42 years of service. He was a member of Zion Lutheran church. Surviving are one son, Charles of Prairie du Chen, Wis.; two daughters, Mrs. Harry (Annabelle) Gundelfinger and Mrs. (Virginia) Stanford of Clinton; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Miss Lulu Herrity of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews. His parents, wife, one brother and one grandson preceded him in death.
