The Clinton Herald Friday October 20, 1916 p. 8 Patrick Kenney, aged 91 years, one of the oldest residents of Clinton county, passed away at his home ---- North Sixth street at 6:40 o'clock Thursday evening due to old age. He was born in Ireland in April, 1825, and in 1848 came to America and in the early '50's to Iowa, settling in Hampshire township, remaining there until about 25 years ago, when he retired and came to this city. He was married in November, 1858, to Miss Margaret Blessington, who passed away eleven years ago. Mr. Kenney was a member of St. Irenaeus church. He is survived by the following children: William and Andrew Kenney, Remsen, Sister Mary Eleanor, Chicago; Sister Mary Emilian, Lincoln, Neb.; Mrs. George D. Tucking, C.W. Kenney and Miss Ella Kenney all of this city. The funeral will be held from the resident in North Sixth street Monday morning, with services at St. Irenaeus Catholic church at 9 o'clock. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.
