FULTON, Ill. — Eleanor Wegloski, 81, of Fulton, died Tuesday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, following a stroke.Eleanor Wegloski was born December 17, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Daniel and Victoria (Kubala) Shatkowski. Following high school, she graduated from Chicago Teachers College, and received an M.A. from Loyola University and from Northeastern Illinois University. She taught in the Chicago school district for 30 years and belonged to Delta Kappa Gamma Society.She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in DeKalb, Ill., for 14 years before just recently moving to Fulton.Her family includes her husband of 59 years, Joseph Wegloski,; daughter, Vicki (Dan) Pawlowski of Clinton, Iowa, and two grandchildren, Lindsey Pawlowski (Conor) and Shelley Dawn.She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Wegloski of New Mexico.Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2007, at St. Mary’s Church in DeKalb, with burial at St. Mary Cemetery.Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City, is caring for Eleanor’s family.Death date: Dec. 11, 2007
