The Clinton Herald Wednesday July 21, 1886 p. 3 Mr. C.D. Roenfeldt, of Hampshire township, died Tuesday night very suddenly, aged 78 years. The funeral will occur Friday. Tuesday the old gentleman appeared to be in ordinary health and retired as usual. In the night his daughter heard him breathing loudly an dhastened to his bedside. She asked him if a physician should not be called, but he did not desire one and he passed over the dark river shortly after.
