The Clinton Herald Saturday April 24, 1943 p. 10 Mrs. E.G. Fenlon, lifelong resident of Clinton, died at 10:30 p.m. yesterday, in the home of her daughter, Miss Mabel Fenlon, 523 Seventh avenue, South, after an illness since last December. The body was removed to the Snell funeral home, and will be taken to the family home late this afternoon, where it will repose until noon Monday. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in the Snell funeral home. Mary Amanda McKenzie was born May 5, 1863, in Clinton, the daughter of Alexander and Mary McKenzie. On March 26, 1884, she was married to Edward G. Fenlon. The couple made their home in Kenwood for two years, then came to Clinton, where they spent the remainder of their married life. Surviving are three children, a son, George E. Fenlon, Marion and Mrs. Adelaide Davies, at home, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. John C. Fenlon, Wheaton. Misses Mary Adelaide, Joan and Eleanor Davies, granddaughters, survive at home. Another granddaughter, Mrs. Glenn Gordon, resides in Los Angles, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in February 1912, and a son, John Closson Fenlon, who died in September, 1938. Mrs. Fenlon was a member of the First Congregational church for many years. The Rev. H.E. Harned, Clinton Church of Christ, and the Rev. Robert A. Bentley, First Congregational church, will officiate at the services.
