The Clinton Herald Tuesday August 14, 1945 p. 8 Arthur J. Greve, 47, died at 6:20 p.m. Monday in Jane Lamb hospital, where he had been a patient four weeks. He had been in failing health since last March. The body will be taken to the family home, 514 Tenth avenue, South, late this afternoon. Funeral services are being planned for 3:30 Thursday afternoon in the Zion Lutheran church. Mr. Greve was born March 5, 1898, in Clinton county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claus Greve. He lived most of his early life in the DeWitt community and married Miss Martha Boyert on Feb. 22, 1921. The farmed near Grand Mound unti three years ago when they moved to Clinton. He was an employee of the Climax Engineering company, a member of Zion Lutheran church and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, chapter, 363. Surviving besides his wife, are three children, Herbert, Ernest and Arthur, Jr., all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claus Greve, of DeWitt; two brothers, John of Elvira, and Virtus of Low Moor; and two sisters, Mrs. Marion Nelson of Grand Mound and Mrs. Louis Flor of DeWitt.
