CLINTON — Phyllis M. Gundelfinger, 73, of Clinton, IA, died Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center–North Campus in Clinton, IA. Services will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church on Friday, November 30, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, November 29, 2007, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Gundelfinger, Harold, Dennis, Steve and Bill Hosette and Terry Smith. Phyllis was born May 3, 1934, in Clinton Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Inez (Dawson) Hosette. She was a Clinton High School graduate. She married William Gundelfinger on April 30, 1951, in Clinton, IA; he died in 1958. Phyllis was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the 600 Club. She also enjoyed camping, and spending time with family and friends. She was employed as an accountant at Burpee Seed Company until they closed, worked in the accounting department at PFC and had been employed as a cashier and stocker at Target. Survivors include her son, William (Rae Ann) Gundelfinger of Clinton, IA; grandson, Joseph Gundelfinger of Clinton, IA; granddaughter, Megan Gundelfinger of Milwaukee, WI; brother, John “Jack” (Sadie) Hosette of Clinton, IA; sister, Irene Johnson of Clinton, IA; two sisters-in-law, Mary (Ken) Hall of Clinton, IA, and Ellen (Bill) McClain of Clinton, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law, father-in-law, four brothers and three sisters. Death date: Nov. 25, 2007
