FULTON, Ill. — Epe R. Boerema, 99, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, Ill., died Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at the nursing home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2007, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Stephan, pastor of Second Reformed Church in Fulton, Ill., will be officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, Ill.Memorials may be made to Second Reformed Church, Fulton, Ill.He was born November 14, 1907, in Kaston, Holland, to Ralph and Stella (Blink) Boerema. He attended rural Whiteside County and Fulton, Ill., grade schools.He first married Pearl D. Pessman on February 14, 1934, in Fulton, Ill. She died May 31, 1976. He later married Edna R. Buxton on Dec. 22, 1984, in Clinton, IA. She died June 1, 2003. He farmed his entire life in rural Fulton and Morrison areas retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau and Second Reformed Church, Fulton.Survivors include two stepdaughters, Ruby (Mrs. Dennis) Hass-Spears of DeWitt, IA, and Jean (Mrs. Neil) Houzenga of Thomson, Ill.; one brother-in-law, Wesley Pessman of Garden Plain, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
