1928 - 2007
Harvey L. Frederick, 79, of Clinton, IA, died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services in Davenport, IA. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Clinton, on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christopher Smith, Kristopher Schoen, Kyle St. Clair, David Schoen Jr., Mary Schoen and Josh Fullick.

Harvey was born on April 7, 1928, in Mount Carroll, IL, the son of Leslie and Lucinda (Morhardt) Frederick. He was educated in the Mount Carroll Schools. Harvey was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He married Frances Harridge St. Clair on October 16, 1970 in Nashua, Iowa. He was a member of the First United Methodist, Clinton, the American Legion, NARFE, and the Disabled American Veterans. Harvey was employed as a supervisor at the Savanna Army Depot and later at the Rock Island Arsenal.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Frederick of Clinton, IA; Daughter, Lisa (Rick) Smith of Richmond, VA; Son, Tim (Angie) Frederick of Tampa, FL; Step-Son, Randall (Lisa Ann) St. Clair of Clinton, IA; step-daughters, Krista L. (Melvin) Shoemaker of Morrison, IL and Karen L. (David) Schoen of Clinton, IA; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brothers, Floyd (Ardith) Frederick of Mount Carroll, IL; Carl Frederick of Rock Falls, IL and Dean Frederick of Mount Carroll, IL; sisters, Bernice Maszk of Mount Carroll, IL; Marie Frederick of Mount Carroll and Shelby (Dale) Endress of Mount Carroll.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Deborah Jean, two brothers, a sister and his parents.

Memorials may be made to Alliant Energy Field.
