Ruth S. Burchill, 105, of Bluff Terrace Nursing Home, Clinton, died Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the nursing home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Clinton, IA with the Rev. Wayne Brinkmann, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Clinton, officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, Fulton, IL. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Clinton, IA.

She was born in Frankenmuth, MI to Ernest H. and Mathilda (Prescott) Strieter. She was educated in the Chicago, IL schools. She married William J. Burchill in Chicago, IL. He died October 22, 1976. She was a homemaker.She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she was involved with the ladies aid.

She was preceded in death by nine sisters and three brothers.
