Mount Carroll, Ill. - Alvin “Woody” Woodside, 71, of Mount Carroll, died Tuesday at Freeport (Ill.) Memorial Hospital.

His body will be donated to the University of Iowa for research.

There will be a memorial service Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mount Carroll United Methodist Church.
