Norma R. Bush, 79, of Thomson, died Sunday, October 14, 2007, at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Fulton Chapel Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Bonestroo, pastor of Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, will be officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at the Fulton Chapel Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.

She was born July 29, 1928, in Newton Township, IL, to Anno and Rena (Heun) Huizenga. She was educated in the Slocum Street School of rural Whiteside County. She was a graduate of Erie High School. She married Roland J. Bush on November 26, 1946, in Erie, IL. He survives. She was employed by General Electric, Morrison, IL; then employed as a waitress and later as a nurse’s aide for Mercy Medical Center–Clinton, IA. She was also engaged in farming with her husband in the rural Erie, Thomson and Fulton, IL areas. She was a member of Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton, IL.

Survivors include her husband, Roland; two daughters, Diane (Mrs. Wesley) Temple of Princeton, IL and Debbie (Mrs. Larry “Bim”) McGinnis of Thomson, IL; four sons, David (Pat) Bush of Nashville, TN, Richard (Pamela) Bush of Bethalto, IL, Doug (Nancy) Bush of Fulton, IL and Drew (Karmin) Bush of Chadwick, IL; 15 grandchildren, Shane (Krystal) Temple, Steffanie (Carl) Denton; Joseph McGinnis and Michelle Leitzen, Mark (Jennifer) McGinnis; Amy (Jerry) Jones; Caleb (Elizabeth)Bush, Seth (Kristin) Bush, Sarah (Dave) Thomas, Hannah Bush; Dale (Hilary) Bush, Dan (Cari) Bush, Dawn (Josh) Temple, Diane (Nate) Stichter; Emily and Allyson Bush; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Rose (Mrs. Alvin “Bud” Wiersema of Morrison, IL; and one brother, Willard (Phyllis) Huizenga of Morrison, IL. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael David Bush; three sisters, Verna Norman, Hazel Norman and Wilma Jean Huizenga in infancy; one brother, John Huizenga; two sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Huizenga and Ella May Huizenga; and two brother-in-laws, Henry Norman and Hie Norman.

Casket bearers are Shane Temple, Joseph McGinnis, Mark McGinnis, Dale Bush, Dan Bush, Dawn Temple, Diane Stichter, Sarah Thomas; honorary casket bearers, Steffanie Denton, Hannah Bush, Emily Bush, Allyson Bush, Caleb Bush, Seth Bush and Amy Jones. The organist will be Corliss Venema.

Memorials may be made to Spring Valley Reformed Church, Fulton, IL, and Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
