The Clinton Advertisor Tuesday December 19, 1916 p. 1 John Crowley died at 10:30 o'clock this morning at his home near Welton, after an illness of several months' duration. He was thirty-four years of age and is survived by one son, six years of age; his mother, Mrs. Bridget Crowley, with whom he made his home; three brothers, Timothy, Martin and Vincent, and two sisters, Mrs. Nell Wulf of Welton and Mrs. Mary Cavanaugh of Grand Mound. No funeral arrangements have as yet been made.
