The Clinton Herald Walter D. Morris, III, 81, died Friday at Friends Homes, Greensboro, N.C. A gathering of family and friends will take place in May in Clinton. Survivors include a sister, Mary Jane Case of Camanche; four sons, Thomas Ren Morris of Macon, Ga., Walter David Morris of Alberquerque, N.M., William Craig Morris of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Cindy (Scott) Lee of Greensboro, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and cousins. He is preceded in death by his wife. Death date: March 1, 2002.
