Clinton, Iowa - Services for Robert E. Cavanaugh, 73, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., formerly of Clinton, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Clinton. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, Clinton.

Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, with a vigil at 5:30 p.m.

Mr. Cavanaugh died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999 at his home.

He retired in 1982 as a senior buyer with the Turnstyle division of Jewel Foods.

He was born July 5, 1925, in Clinton. He married Patricia Grossman in 1960 in Davenport. She preceded him in death.

He served in the Navy in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.

Survivors include daughters, Susan Miller, Inverness, Ill., and Karen Justice, Tempe, Ariz., a son, James, Bourbonnais, Ill.; eight grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Kammerer, Nixa, Mo.; and brothers, James, Sierra Vista, and Jack, North Hills, Calif.
(He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jane Morgan and one daughter, Barbara Anne Wall.)
