The DeWitt Observer Saturday July 14, 1984 p. 3 John Troy, 74, died July 11 in Royal Elm Nursing Home in Elmwood Park, Ill. Visitation was at Hanrahan Funeral Home where the parish rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today (Saturday) in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Troy was born in DeWitt Jan. 7, 1909 to Peter and Margaret Tunpane Troy. He was retired as an accountant with Metro Sanitary District of Chicago. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Peter (Margaret) McGinn of DeWitt, Helen Troy and Sister Margaretoma of Chicago.
