The funeral of Mrs. Susan Myers was conducted by Reverend Edmonson at 10:00 A.M. Friday, and interment was in Cherrywood cemetery. H. Pelham, S.W.Horton, Roy Pelham, J.B.Maginnis, C. Pelham, and D.D.Hammond acted as pallbearers. Susan Covert was born October 13, 1832 at Ovid, Seneca County, New York. On January 14, 1852 she was united in marriage to A.B.Myers. Mr. Myers and one son preceded her to the grave, leaving one son, M.B.Myers of Malone, and one daughter, Mrs. J.M.Crandall of Janesville, Wisconsin, to mourn the departure of a loving mother. Mrs. Myers had been afflicted with consumption for ten years, and about three months ago she began to decline rapidly. Mrs. Myers was a consisten Christian, having been a member of the Congregational church for thirty-six years, and death came to her as a happy end to her suffering.
