The Clinton Herald Monday December 3, 1990 p. 12 Alverna McKenna, 82, of Lakewood, Colo., formerly of Clinton, died Friday in Garden Manor Nursing Home, Lakewood. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Boniface Cemetery, Clinton, with the Rev. Ronald Young of Prince of Peace Parish officiating. There will be no visitation. Schmitz Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. McKenna was born Aug. 1, 1908, in Clinton, to Hubert and Elizabeth Saurwine Burken. She married Francis McKenna in May of 1936 in Clinton. He died in 1959. She had lived in Colorado most of her life. Survivors include a son, David of Littleton, Colo.; and a grandchild. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, three brothers and three sisters. Death Date: Nov. 30, 1990.
