The Clinton Herald Monday April 8, 1957 p. 8 The funeral time for Leroy Mousel, 51, local businessman and civic leader, who died at 9 a.m. Saturday in Rochester, Minn., was made known today. At the time of his death Mousel was preparing to come home after going through the Mayo clinic. A requiem high mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Irenaeus church. Msgr. E.F. Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. The parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the Shaddock funeral home. The Knights of Columbus will meet at 7:30 p.m. today for recitation of the rosary. Friends may call at the funeral home. Leroy Mousel was born July 15, 1905, in Bellevue, the son of Henry and Florence Mousel. On June 10, 1926, he married Bernadette Beez in St. Irenaeus church. A graduate of St. Joseph's high school in DeWitt, he attended Loras college in Dubuque. For a number of years he and his wife operated the Beez-Mousel Dress and Hat Shop. He was a member of St. Irenaeus church, Isaac Walton league, Chamber of Commerce, president of Town club, a member of the Lyons Retail Merchants association, the Lyons Coffee club and on the board of directors for Mairco, Inc. Goshen, Ind. Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Henry Mousel, DeWitt; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Rutenbeck of Goshen, Ind.; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. T.W. Tague of Belle Plaine and one brother, Lloyd, of DeWitt. He was preceded in death by his father.
