SERVICES: 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Poust, pastor of Elizabeth United Methodist Church, officiating.
ELIZABETH, Ill. — Almeda Ryder, 90, of Elizabeth, died Sunday at Rockford (Ill.) Memorial Hospital.
Burial will be in Elizabeth Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 7, 1916, to Raymond and Bernice Kuhn’s Meffley in Hanover, Ill. She married Carson V. “Casey” Ryder on Sept. 14, 1935, in Albany, Ill. He died in 1993.
She attended Elizabeth schools. She graduated from Elizabeth High School in 1934.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice (Carlton) Rittweger of Rockford; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three nephews.
