Mrs. Charles Overkamp

Mrs. Charles F. (Florence) Overkamp, 82, of 2927 Pershing Blvd., Clinton, died Monday night in the Americana nursing home, Davenport.

Funeral services and a requiem high mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Irenaeus Catholic church, Clinton. Rev. W.T. O'Connor will officiate with burial in St. Irenaeus Calvary cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. and friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Pape funeral home, Clinton.

Pallbearers will be Walter Reddick, Martin Claussen, Leo Salutz, John Lanaghan, Orville Schneider and John Brown.

Mrs. Overkamp was born Sept. 23, 1886 in Clinton, the daughter of Florian and Elizabeth Bach Salutz. She married Charles F. Overkamp on June 5, 1912 in Clinton. She was a member of the St. Irenaeus church and Lady of Fatima society.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Gertrude) Williams of Clinton, and Mrs. Bruce (Helen) Green of Silver Springs, Md.; one son Robert C. Overkamp of Clinton; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ed Salutz of Clinton; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, five sisters and four brothers.
