Hazel Jaeger, 94, passed away October 25, 2006, in Tempe, AZ. She was born November 9, 1911, in Goose Lake, Iowa. She grew up in Clinton, Iowa, and was active in her church throughout her life. In 1967 she married and moved to Tempe, Arizona. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing, holding various leadership roles in a number of clubs over the years. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Jaeger, and brother, Eldon Schwartz.
She is survived by twin stepdaughters, Rita Anderson of Salinas, California; and Marjie Brennan of Gold Beach, Oregon; plus four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and a nephew, Bill Schwartz of Arnolds Park, Iowa.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2006, at 7:00pm at Emmanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 715 W. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ. Hazel will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park, Iowa, adjacent to her husband, Ben. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions be made to either Westchester Campus of Care, 6100 S. Rural Road, Tempe, AZ 85283, or Emmanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 715 W. Southern Ave., Tempe, AZ 85282.
