Leland Elmer Haas

CLINTON — Leland Elmer Haas, 79, of Clinton and formerly of Savanna, Ill., died Monday at Wyndcrest Nursing Home.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Elizabeth, Ill., to Elmer and Carrie Albrecht Haas.

He was educated in Massbach School, Elizabeth.

He was a lineman with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for more than 20 years.

He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and the Moose Lodge, both in Savanna.

Survivors include two daughters, Barb Haas (Dan Jordan) of Fulton, Ill., and Elizabeth Hamm of Thomson, Ill.; two sons, Chuck (Kim) Haas of Dubuque, Paul (Jana) Haas of Hernando, Miss.; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Warren (Annabelle) Haas of Mount Carroll, Ill., and Floyd (Evelyn) Haas of Morrison, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother-in-law.
