SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. David Vidler officiating.
SAVANNA, Ill. — Harlan J. Rath, 66, of Savanna, died Saturday at Eagle Point Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton.
Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Savanna.
He was born June 29, 1940, in Freeport, Ill., to John H. and Clara R. Randecker Rath.
He farmed in the Savanna area and also worked as a feed salesman for many years. He also owned the Palisades Motel and Palisades Trading Post for more than 30 years.
Survivors include two sons, David (Mary Kay) Rath and John (Mandi Stokley) Rath, both of Savanna; two daughters, Patty Rath of Omaha, Neb., and Beverly (Stewart) Haas of Elizabeth, Ill.; 10 grandchildren;and five great-grandchildren.
A general memorial fund has been established in his name.
