McGRATH, James
The Lyons Mirror Saturday November 30, 1878
Death of an Old Resident - James McGrath, an old and respected farmer of Hampshire township, died very suddenly on last Saturday morning at fifteen minutes of eleven, of congestion of the lungs. A friend of the family writes us: Mr. McGrath settled on his farm 28 years ago, and has proven himself to be an industrious and faithful worker, having left to his family of three sons and two daughters each a comfortable home. A man who was respected by all and whose word was as good as his note, - in short, one who had the good wishes of all who knew him. He was 60 years and two months old at the time of his death. His remains were taken to Sabula last Monday, where he had a son buried.
