Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
SERVICES: 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jon W. Nienhuis, pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, officiating.
MORRISON, Ill. — Donald Bush, 89, of Morrison, died Thursday at Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.
He was born March 15, 1917, in Morrison to Clarence and Henrietta Bolt Bush. He married Coramae “Cork” Norman on Aug. 13, 1938, in Fulton, Ill.
He attended Green Valley School in rural Whiteside County, Ill., and graduated from eighth grade.
He farmed in rural Lyndon and Fenton, Ill.
He was director and president of Mount Pleasant Mutual Insurance for 35 years.
He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church and belonged to the Men’s Brotherhood where he served as secretary. He was a member of the Whiteside County Conservation District and served on the steering committee for resource, conservation and development. He also served on the Green and Fenton school boards and Resthave Nursing Home Board.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Arlyn (Janette) Bush of Prophetstown, Ill., and Milton (Janice) Bush of Morrison; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Kenneth (Eloise) Bush and Eugene (Wilma) Bush, both of Morrison.
