Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Law-Jones Funeral Home in Savanna.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savanna, with the Rev. Moises Apostol officiating.
SAVANNA, Ill. — George M. Troha, 84, of Savanna, died Thursday at Big Meadows Nursing Home, Savanna.
Burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Savanna.
He as born Nov. 17, 1921, to Anton and Anna (Hansen) Troha in Savanna. He married Mary Kelly on June 21, 1952, in Savanna.
He was a 1941 graduate of Savanna High School and attended Moline (Ill.) Business College.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked as an ammunition handler at the Savanna Army Depot for 35 years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rita (Patrick) Cauley of Savanna; four sons, William Troha of Las Vegas, Paul Troha of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mark Troha of San Diego and Phillip (Laura) Troha of Grayslake, Ill.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Steven (Marie) Troha of Sequim, Wash.; and four sisters, Mary Pollock of Mount Carroll, Ill., Francis (Jim) Thomas of Burlington, Wis., Barbara (Rush) Ferguson of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Margaret Parenti of Oxnard, Calif.
