Michael Rodger O’Gara

Private family services will be held for Michael Rodger O’Gara, 79, of Roswell, NM who passed away at his home Saturday, September 16, 2006.

Michael was born January 10, 1927 to Michael Gilbert O’Gara and Mary Zita Boler in Smithwick, South Dakota. He and Irma J. McFadden were married February 11, 1956 in Hartington, Nebraska; she survives him at the family home. They moved to Roswell in July of 1992 from Clinton, Iowa.

Michael served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army. He was a Catholic and worked as an ironworker for construction until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Irma, Michael is survived by his children, Peggy O’Gara Stone and her husband, Jim, of Clinton, Iowa, Michael Charles O’Gara and his wife, Barbara, of Tooele, Utah, Katie O’Gara McReynolds and her husband, Steven, of Rochester, Minnesota, and Brian Rodger O’Gara and his wife, Debbie, of St. Peter, Minnesota; grandchildren, Michael O’Gara of Dayton Beach, FL, Patrick O’Gara of Tooele, Utah, and Megan McReynolds of Rochester, Minnesota; step-grandchildren, Branden Eilander and Serenity Daniels; two step great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas O’Gara and his wife, Patti, of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Bart O’Gara and his wife, Analiese, of Germany; two sisters, Helen Mackey of South Sioux City, Nebraska, and Kay McKivergan of Poca, Nebraska; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary O’Gara, three sisters, Mary Marcault, Genevieve Keller and Dorothy Cummins, and one brother, G. William O’Gara.
