Mildred Seastrand

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. today at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt. The Rev. Pete Hagglund will be officiating.

DEWITT — Mildred Seastrand, 80, of DeWitt, died Friday at Wheatland Manor.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt.

Pallbearers will be Lance Seastrand, Michael and Mark Steward, Terry and Jack Carber, Joe Martin, Ashley O'Neill, Jessica and Austin Seastrand, Trevor and Marissa Steward and Dick Carber.

She was born Dec. 8, 1925, in DeWitt to George and Lillian Wynkoop Carber. She married Victor W. Seastrand on Nov. 16, 1947, in DeWitt. He died in 1992.

She and her husband farmed in the DeWitt area before retiring in 1987. She also worked with the Calendar Factory, DeWitt.

She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, DeWitt. She was a former member of the Navy Mothers and VFW.

Survivors include one son, George “Bus” (Rita) Seastrand of Calamus; one daughter, Vickie (Dennis) O'Neill of Wheatland; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joyce Dohrmann and Alice Jean Martin, both of DeWitt.
