Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Maquoketa, with Pastor Herb Shafer, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Clinton, officiating.

CLINTON — William J. “Bill” Foster, 46, of Clinton, died Tuesday at his home.

Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.

He was born Oct. 28, 1959, in Maquoketa to Melvin J. and Verna G. McCullough Foster. He married Leta Eganhouse on June 30, 1979, in Bellevue. They later divorced. He later married Gina Voss and they later divorced.

He was a 1978 graduate of Maquoketa High School.

He worked with Clinton Corn from 1979 to 1982; Lee Paasch Ford, Clinton, from 1983 to 1985; and McEleney Motors, Clinton, from 1986 until the present.

Survivors include one daughter, Brooke Foster of Clinton; his mother, Verna Foster of Maquoketa; sisters, Geraldine (Robert) Williams of Modesto, Calif., Nancy (Dr. Wayne) Wagoner of Maquoketa, Susan Foster of Cedar Rapids and Terry (Dan) Miller of Bettendorf; and brothers, David (Joanne) Foster of Lake Tahoe, Calif., Jim (Marilyn) Foster of Maquoketa and Robert (Dianna) Foster of Monmouth, Iowa.

A William J. “Bill” Foster Memorial Fund has been established.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.

Death date: Aug. 8, 2006
