CLINTON — Mildred Louise Scott, 60, of Clinton, died Saturday in Clinton.
She was born Aug. 28, 1945, in Straight Creek, Ky., to Charlie and Beedie Sparks Widener Sr. She married Gary L. Scott on July 25, 1988, in Clinton.
She attended Fulton (Ill.) schools.
She was a nurse’s aide at various nursing homes and home care facilities for more than 40 years.
She was a member of the Eagle Club.
Survivors include her husband; two stepsons, Gary D. (Karen) Scott of Cedar Rapids and Jason R. Scott of Clinton; three stepgrandchildren; six brothers, Charlie (Helen) Widener Jr. of Sabula, Garry Widener of Camanche and Edwin Widener, Jerry (Kerry) Widener, David (Marge) Widener and Donald Widener, all of Clinton; one sister, Alice Grant of Clinton; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be made to the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
