SERVICES: A celebration of life service and potluck will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Knights of Columbus, 1556 E. Fremont St. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes, Knoxville, in charge of arrangements.
KNOXVILLE, Ill. — Warren R. Dodd, 60, of Knoxville, died Saturday at Galesburg (Ill.) Cottage Hospital.
The body will be cremated.
He was born May 7, 1946, in Clinton to Russell E. and Lucille C. Martin Dodd. He married Sallie J. Meyers on Nov. 23, 1975, in Clinton.
He graduated from Clinton High School in 1964. He attended classes at Clinton Community and Blackhawk colleges.
He worked with the U.S. Postal Service in Clinton, Rock Island and Galesburg, Ill. He retired as postmaster in Galesburg in 2001.
He was member of the Galesburg Noon Lions Club, past member of the Galesburg TIPS Club and the National Association of Postmaster of the United States.
Survivors include his wife; mother, Lucille C. Dodd of Clinton; one son, Michael (Kelley) of Clinton; two daughters, Kimberly Miller of Clinton and Nicole (Tim) Sturgis of Columbus, Kan.; two stepsons, Richard E. Meyers of Maynardsville, Tenn., and John (Jennifer) Meyers of Sugar Hill, Ga.; one sister, Sharon (Tom) Brown of Clinton; 10 grandchildren; and a niece and nephew.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Galesburg Lions Noon Club.
