The Clinton Herald Friday January 19, 1934 p. 5 William H. Stamp, 42, 272 Thirty-third avenue, North, died at 3:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in Mercy hospital, where he had been a patient the last week, and ill the last two weeks. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon with a prayer at 1 o'clock in the family home, followed by services at 1:30 o'clock in Zion Lutheran church. The Rev. George W. Krueger will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. William H. Stamp was born Aug. 12, 1891, in Bryant, a son of the late Gustav Stamp. He has always lived in this vicinity, and received his education in the rural schools. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Preston. In 1913 he was married to Miss Pauline H. Eggers, and they lived in Teeds Grove for three years, later moving to this city. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Glenn. A son, Wayne, preceded him in death in 1929, and his father, Gustav Stamp, died in 1927. He is survived by his mother, three brothers and three sisters, Fred Stamp, Bryant, Carl Stamp, Clinton, Mrs. August Petersen, Goose Lake, Mrs. Arthur Eggers, Bryant, and Mrs. Edward Slowie, Clinton.
