Visitation: 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Friday at the church with Dr. Donald Batz officiating.

CAMANCHE — Leona “Lee” M. Munson, 69, of Camanche, died Tuesday at Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt.

Burial be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche.

Pallbearers will be Curt Hopkins, Steve Lyons, and Matt, Pat, Chris and Kent Schell.

She was born Jan. 7, 1937, in Milnor, N.D., to Wilson and L. Arlene Stanley Hopkins. She married Eldon Morgan in 1953 in Boone. She later married Charles “Dick” Munson in 1986 in Clinton.

She graduated from Boone High School.

She was a nursing assistant with Boone County Hospital and the Alverno Health Care Facility, Clinton.

She was a member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Camanche Historical Society and was active with Camanche Little League. She also helped rebuild the Camanche Youth Center and received the mayor’s award in 1999 for her efforts.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Randy (Jody) Morgan of Richmond, Va., Ron (Naomi) Morgan of Haskell, Okla., and Michael (Jill) Morgan of Kearney, Neb.; two stepdaughters, Diana (Gail) Ryner of Clinton and Roxane Kane of Newark, Calif.; one stepson, Richard (Cindy) Munson of Camanche; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; one sister, Linda (Bruce) Williams of Boone; one brother, Layne (Karen) Hopkins of Mankato, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Camanche Little League or Camanche Fire Department.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
