Sylvester B. “Shorty” Feller

Visitation: 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bellevue. The Rev. Stephen Meyer officiated.

BELLEVUE — Sylvester B. “Shorty” Feller, 74, of Bellevue, died Friday at his home.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

He was born Oct. 28, 1931, in Springbrook to Nick and Anna Kilburg Feller. He married Elaine Blitgen on Oct. 14th, 1953, in Bellevue.

He was a farmer. He also worked with Clinton Engines, Maquoketa, and Midwest Pipe Coating Co., Bellevue.

He was a member of the Bellevue Knights of Columbus and Illinois State Stock Horse Association.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Pete (Marcia) Feller of Fulton, Ill., and Perry (Julia Boop) Feller of Bellevue; two daughters, Patty (Larry) Hager and Peg (Jim) Skoff, both of Bellevue; and two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Phyllis (Merrice) Steines of Preston; two brothers, Milo (Arlene) Feller and Omer “Pete” (Rosie) Feller, both of Preston.

Death date: June 23, 2006
