Sylvia Vos

Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, preceded by a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service. The Rev. Jon. W. Nienhuis will be officiating.

MORRISON, Ill. — Sylvia Vos, 92, of Morrison, died Thursday at Mercy North Hospital.

Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

Pallbearers will be Gina Foster, Brad, Gregg and Kevin Hamstra, Kent and Mark Renkes and Darren and Scott Vos.

She was born April 29, 1913, in Morrison to Harry and Ada Eizenga Housinga.

She was educated in Whiteside County (Ill.) schools.

She married Bert Vos on Feb. 26, 1935. He died in 1971.

She was employed with the Morrison Ice Cooling Factory and Rich Toy Factory, Morrison. She and her husband farmed in rural Erie, Ill. She also was employed with Climco, Morrison, before retiring.

She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, and the church’s Prayer Partners.

Survivors include two daughters, Vera L. Hamstra of Morrison and Mrs. Doris (Dale) Bull of Fulton, Ill.; one son, Larry D. (Ellen) Vos of Morrison; 10 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Della Housinga of Bradenton, Fla.

Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison.
