MARRIAGE A FAILURE: FOUR WOMEN BRING SUITS FOR DIVORCES SATURDAY.
Four divorce suits were brought in the district court Saturday, making an even dozen thus far for the September term. Anna Jacobsen states in her petition that she was married to Henry Jacobsen in Carroll county, this state, on September 9, 1884; that on July 27, 1887, the defendant willfully and without a reasonable or just cause, deserted her, and has ever since remained absent. She asks that she be divorced from the bonds of matrimony and restored to all the rights of a single person.
Myrtle Brown asks in her petition that the bonds of matrimony now existing between her and P. M. Brown, be dissolved, and that she be given the care and custody of her minor child. The petitioner alleges that she was married to the defendant at Omaha, Neb., on February 4, 1893; that since said marriage the defendant has become an habitual drunkard; been guilty of cruel and inhuman treatment, and neglected and refused to support her and their little child aged nearly one year.
Jennie Mace, of Lyons, asks a decree dissolving the matrimonial bonds now existing between her and James Mace. The plaintiff in her petition alleges that she was married to the defendant in Lyons on September 21, 1881, and that some months ago her husband deserted her and has ever since remained absent.
Marina C. Petersen prays the court to dissolve the matrimonial bonds now existing between her and Broder M. Petersen.
