Five Hundred of the 7th Iowa Calvary went up last night to the Hawkeye State to Clinton.
Since the above was in type we have seen Mrs. Thomas J. Potter, who accompanied the regiment to Burlington, and arrived here today. We learn from Mrs. P. that the regiment were mustered out of Ft. Leavenworth, but had to go to Clinton to close their accounts and be paid off. The Paymaster is at Clinton waiting their arrival. We judge by this that a few days we’ll see the boys at home.
