Michael Moran, a newsboy on the Rock Island railroad running out of Joliet, was recently given a verdict for damages to the amount of $4,000 for injuries received in a railroad wreck. The company took an appeal from the decision of the lower court and the appellate court remanded the case back for a new trial. The result was, the jury on the second trial gave the boy $8,000, twice as much as did the first jury.
